Rodney has over 30 years experience in aged care service operations, facility management, regulatory compliance and accreditation.

​

He holds tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Health Science, Health Services Management, Public Health and Gerontology.

 

He is a Registered Nurse registered with AHPRA and prior to national registration held registration in NSW, Qld and Victoria as a General and Mental Health Nurse.

 

Rodney has managed aged care services across the profit and for profit sectors including mainstream homes, extra service facilities and CALD services in Sydney, Brisbane & across regional NSW. He has also held the position of Director of Quality & Compliance with a major NFP aged care provider overseeing the accreditation of 38 homes (2,400 beds) in NSW and Qld.

During his aged care career he has worked in all functional areas of a home from cleaning, catering, maintenance and laundry through to all levels of nursing and management.

 

He has also held senior positions within the Department of Health in compliance, complaints resolution and as a national Clinical Advisor and was the Deputy Chair of the Expert Ageing Group at the Australian College of Nursing.

 

He has published widely in peer reviewed journals, authored an Australian best selling book and has presented at over 20 major national and international conferences globally.
